Artist's Comments
This was a series of fairy tale images that were commissioned for a rather extravagant Halloween party. The entire series was bound together in a elegant book format and mailed out to lucky invitees. The party was perhaps best described as decadence with a dash of pleasant evil. Originally, however, the invitation was conceived as a long ribbon and I've always meant to go back in and retouch all the shading so that all the scenes flowed together nicely.
Can you spot all the references? Some are fairy tales and some are nursery rhymes.
